Lesefutter

Damit man auf zwischen den Jahren auf interessante Ideen kommt: io9 hat eine Liste von Ten of the Kinkiest Science Fiction Books You'll Ever Read. Da sind ein paar einschlägige Titel dabei:

Jacqueline Carey, Kushiel's Dart: about Phedre, a spy/courtesan whose two superpowers include learning languages really quickly and a preternatural ability to experience pain as intense sexual pleasure

Janet Morris, Returning Creation: Unfortunately she's always being kidnapped or taken to other worlds where she's tied up, forced to have degrading sex, and (of course) has lots of tearful, shame-faced orgasms.

John Norman, Gorean Saga: where all women are in bondage and all men can have their way with these collared, scantily-clad lovelies – wobei ich die Gor-Serie trotz des Themas eher langweilig und schlecht geschrieben finde. Und bei etlichen Hardcore-Goreans habe ich meine Zweifel an deren Realitätssinn.

Cecilia Tan, The Velderet: about two people who go into a virtual world to find partners for the BDSM sex that's forbidden on their repressive planet. But then a race of aliens arrive to conquer their planet, and not only do these aliens practice kinky sex, but it's the foundation for their entire social system. So our kinky outlaw heroes are the best-equipped people on the planet to deal with the alien menace – hört sich vielversprechend an.

Nicht auf der Liste, dennoch am Rande interessant: Charles Stross, Accelerando. Hier sind nicht nur einige der Hauptpersonen einschlägig aktiv: This generation is happy with latex and leather, whips and butt plugs and electrostim, but find the idea of exchanging bodily fluids shocking: a social side effect of the last century's antibiotic abuse.
